Detailed introduction of the function principle of motorcycle shock absorber
Motorcycle shock absorbers can damp the vibration transmitted to the body due to uneven road surfaces or poor driving conditions, quickly eliminate the vibration of the axle and wheels caused by the ground, and ensure that the wheels grip the ground at any time, thereby ensuring the steering and braking functions of the vehicle.
On the one hand, motorcycle shock absorbers must support the safe driving functions of the vehicle, such as grip, braking and acceleration. On the other hand, in order to obtain the best possible comfort, it is necessary to reduce the transmission of vibrations as much as possible to a lower level.
In the suspension system, the elastic element is shocked to produce vibration. In order to improve the driving comfort of the vehicle, a motorcycle shock absorber is installed in parallel with the elastic element in the suspension to attenuate the vibration. Motorcycle shock absorbers are mostly hydraulic shock absorbers. The working principle is that when there is relative movement between the frame and the axle due to vibration, the piston in the shock absorber moves up and down, and the oil in the shock absorber cavity is repeated. One cavity flows into another cavity through different pores.
At this time, the friction between the hole wall and the oil and the internal friction between the oil molecules form a damping force on the vibration, so that the vehicle vibration energy is converted into oil heat, which is then absorbed by the shock absorber and emitted into the atmosphere. When the section of the oil channel is unchanged, the damping force increases or decreases with the increase or decrease of the relative movement speed between the frame and the axle (or wheel), and is related to the oil viscosity.
The elastic element and the shock absorber undertake the task of cushioning impact and vibration. Excessive damping force will make the suspension elasticity worse and even damage the shock absorber connector. In the compression stroke, the damping force of the shock absorber is small, so as to give full play to the elastic effect of the elastic element and alleviate the impact. At this time, the elastic element plays a major role.
In the extension stroke of the suspension, the damping force of the shock absorber should be large, and the shock should be absorbed quickly; when the relative speed between the axle and the axle is too large, the shock absorber is required to automatically increase the fluid flow, so that the damping force is always maintained Within a certain limit to avoid excessive impact load.
