Maintenance of front shock absorption of motorcycle

Today, I 'd like to share with you how to simply repair and maintain the front shock absorber of your motorcycle.

Use the front shock absorber removal wrench to remove the rubber cover at the upper end of the front shock absorber, pull out the stop ring, take out the cover, gasket, inner sleeve, shock absorber spring and other parts, and then pour the hydraulic oil in the shock absorber Clean.

Clamp the front shock absorber on the vise (be careful not to clamp it too tightly), use a wrench to hold the piston rod, and use an inner hexagonal wrench to loosen the fastening connecting bolts at the root of the outer fork tube, and then take out the inner fork tube and other parts. The installation shall be carried out in the reverse order of disassembly and disassembly. Front shock absorber cleaner, remove grease, shock absorption more smooth!

Its assembly points are:

(1) When installing the oil seal, the main lip should face the outer fork tube, the dustproof lip should face outward (that is, the numbered side of the oil seal faces outward), the lip should be coated with a small amount of grease, and then use a wooden block and a hand hammer Gently drive the oil seal into the outer fork tube (or spin it in with a special tool).

(2) All parts shall be cleaned before assembly.

(3) The main lip of the oil seal shall not be scratched.

(4) Do not apply missing sealant or gasket when installing the oil drain plug.

Routine maintenance

(1) Pay attention to regular cleaning and dust removal of the shock absorber to minimize the causes of oil leakage. Practice has proved that dust is an important factor that causes the shock absorber to leak quickly.

(2) When the car is not riding, be sure to pay attention to the oiling protection of the working stroke section of the shock absorber to prevent corrosion and rust of the shock absorber.

(3) Check the tightening of the shock absorber before each ride to ensure driving safety. At the same time, observe the oil leakage of the shock absorber to determine whether it needs to be disassembled or repaired to ensure that the shock absorber is always in normal working condition.
